I loved my entire time here. It’s a small venue with big heart. As you walk in, there’s a ladder shelf with books for you to read, and beautiful tables to enjoy a coffee by the water. It’s on a corner so there is also a couple of tables outside. This cafe is popular with the locals and for good reason. Chef wasn’t in the day we went but we sampled a delicious tea cake and brownie along with our coffees. We chatted with the owners the entire time and were sad to leave. The decor is so tasteful and clean. Parking is available on the street, although the day we went, some was reserved for a film crew. Buses also regularly pass along the main road by the beach so easy to get to.

This visit was for morning coffee. It was good 7.5/10 A simple, but important, start to the day. A flat white using oat milk. The coffee was well poured, no milk art expected, none delivered. Coffee was mellow with a true slight bitterness at the front which quickly faded (not the sometimes burnt bitterness some over roasted coffees have). No sourness or acidity, no good in a milk drink. Well poured overall. A good house blend for a morning coffee. My preference is for a little more length to the bitterness, but that's me. I left a happy chappy

This place just re-opened last week. Their bruch options are classic and delicious. They do a very good coffee! Would recommend the Rosti Benedict with hot smoked salmon! All their pastries and cakes are fresh and made in house too. Location is beautiful, you can half a walk along the beach after your meal! The new owners are lovely and very friendly!

We had a really enjoyable breakfast experience at Books N Bricks Cafe yesterday morning. We started with a round of coffee, which was excellent and a great way to begin the day. For the meal, we ordered The Big Breakfast, which was satisfying and well-prepared, and the Rosti Benedict with grilled Halloumi, which was a delicious and interesting dish. The cafe's location is a huge plus. It was easy to find parking, and being situated so close to the beach was perfect. After our meal, we were able to enjoy a relaxing walk and the beautiful morning view. Books N Bricks is a wonderful choice for a quality breakfast in a convenient, scenic spot!
